New Bern, North Carolina- After a number of postponements that had set a trial date for this week, Pure Bliss Owner Greg Sakas, whose store was raided by police January, 2007, learned that there was yet another postponement.
Sakas left word to say that he got notified of a new trial date: May 23rd.
“Apparently they don’t want to try this case,” states Sakas in his voicemail. “We were hoping to wait and see that outcome before filing the lawsuit. But the attorneys are going ahead and filing next week. And we’re having a terrible time finding help- people are afraid to come in to the store.
“The rumor is that we’ve closed. Everything has just gone wild in that town ever since this stuff has happened. It’s been a year and half before we can get this thing tried. That is ridiculous.”
