Porn Valley- Friend of KSEX calls to correct me about this morning’s story www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=26372 which detailed the theft of cameras at the property located at 9525 Owensmouth.
I’m told that there were two cameras involved, not three. And they were old ones at that. Not even HD cameras.
Curiously in the KSEX theft, a couple of flat screen TVs as well as a number of computers and monitors went untouched. It was only the cameras that were taken.
“It was somebody who needed cameras,” thinks Friend of KSEX. “Someone who shoots.”
“The question is who‘s [Jon] Belinkie going to try and pin this on?” FOKSEX is also wondering.
“You’ve got to have a patsy, a fall guy. And you’ve got to believe there’s a bunch of suspects who are freaking out over this thinking they’re going to be the one taking the rap. It’ll be an interesting next 48 hours.”
With a few other questions going unanswered, FOKSEX and I agree that things got ugly real fast over at the station. It’s no secret that Belinkie known as “The Fatman” blamed Lorrainiac for the collapse of his whole company. And I believe that Belinkie still owes her money.
Belinkie in an interview with AVN, pins the blame on everyone but himself.
“The constant battles with staff, on-air personalities and slow- to non-paying sponsors and advertisers hemorrhaged enough money to cripple the station,” Belinkie tells AVN.
But at the end of the day, it was Belinkie who was impossible to deal with and operated on the simple principle that it was his way or the highway. Not to mention the fact that Belinkie would often be consumed with petty issues such as who’d be walking through the Jock Lounge or who was sitting at the tech desk typing in the chat room.
Also in the AVN interview, Belinkie says, “KSEX had been hurting monetarily since the death of its founder, Mick [Mike] Rick, which was long before my involvement.”
Belinkie had the company up for sale, but there were no real takers.
Vavoom’s bid was said to have been a publicity stunt, and Gary Carver didn’t rate as a serious contender especially after he had backed out of a deal only weeks earlier to go into partnership at TANC TV with Joe Brandi who had resigned from KSEX this past December.
From what I understand, it was Wankus who courted Belinkie as an investor in KSEX but how he and Belinkie first crossed paths isn’t clear. Belinkie comes from the mainstream where he inherited a highly successful insurance business from his father.
But sooner rather than later, Wankus and Belinkie, both big players in the ego game, started butting heads. And on May 5th of last year Belinkie fired Wankus on air using Lorrainiac’s show as the vehicle.
“When you meet Jon in the beginning he comes off as this wonderful, charming, likable guy,” Friend of KSEX tells me. “That changes.”
At the time Belinkie bought KSEX, Lorrainiac, who would eventually replace Wankus, was vacationing in Tennessee. She got a phone from Sideshow Tony, one of her Friday night show cronies, informing her of what happened and wondering if she still had a job. Lorrainiac then placed a couple of frantic phone calls. She was assured by Wankus that Belinkie was cool and not to worry.
From her first meeting with Belinkie, Lorrainiac walked away with the impression that he was the nice guy Wankus said. Then, after she took over for Wankus, Lorrainiac became the next target in the Belinkie barrel sights.
“Every few minutes Belinkie has a different golden child,” Friend of KSEX explains. “It started out with Wankus.”
Then Wankus disagreed with him, and Belinkie switched his allegiances on a dime. When Rainy proved to have a mind of her own, she was automatically on the outs as well.
“Once Belinkie dislikes you, you’re cooked,” observes Friend of KSEX. “Rainy was banished from the Belinkie inner circle of trust. It was like watching DeNiro operate in Meet The Parents.”
As it turned out in the KSEX card game, Belinkie was evidently playing the Porno Dan hand all along. Belinkie had known Dan Leal from back east in Maryland where Leal owned a bar which Belinkie frequented.
“Everything went horribly bad the second Dan walked into the picture,” says Friend of KSEX. “Wankus, who was still around, told Belinkie a long time ago, no deal, that he didn’t want Dan anywhere near his studio. After he shitcanned Wankus, Belinkie ran the Porno Dan idea by Rainy. She was just as unenthusiastic.
“Belinkie then told her I’m going to have to override you on this one,” FOKSEX continued. “You’re going to have to shuffle people around and make it happen. Dan’s coming in for a meeting.”
When Rainy walked into KSEX one afternoon, Dan was sitting at her desk. Her nose got out of joint very quickly, and Rainy then called Belinkie to tell him that he was making a very, very bad decision. Belinkie said something patronizing to her about all the children playing in the pool nicely.
“Rainy fought tooth and nail to get Dan out of there,” notes Friend of KSEX. “As soon as Dan came aboard, people were upset. Rainy told Belinkie that Courtney Cummz, among a few of the station on-air personalities, didn’t want to be associated with Dan’s alleged reputation when it came to content trades.”
“And he talks about himself like he’s the greatest thing in the world,” says FOKSEX. “Then on one occasion, Dan slammed Rainy in front of Soxxx calling her a piece of shit and that, of course, got back to her. Dan was also telling Soxxx that Rainy had no talent, her show sucked and if he were sitting at home, he wouldn’t be watching ‘that shit’. He said his show would be wall-to-wall hardcore banging.”
“Then at Porn Star Karaoke, Dan pretty much said the same thing to Powder,” Friend of KSEX goes on to say. “A guy named Rob who’s one of Rainy’s biggest fans also happened to hear some of Dan’s comments. With Rob overhearing every word, Dan went on about how he was in tight with Belinkie and how Rainy wasn’t long for this world and that he didn’t have to listen to anything she said about show direction.
“Powder, in defense of Rainy, then retaliated with some choice remarks on MySpace. It’s a shame but Dan screwed over some very nice people.”
