Sarnia, Ontario, CANADA: Velvetgate, a Canadian video distribution company, has acquired a Las Vegas-based distribution company and formed Sin City Distributions, which will result in smoother logistics and less expensive shipping for its US-based customers.

“The acquisition of Sin City is a strategic one, and it will allow us to expand our services hugely,” says Mark S., President of Velvetgate. “Velvetgate can now provide distributors with faster shipping and reduced shipping costs due to domestic distribution.”

“This is a tremendous opportunity – the Educational Series is a very successful line and will carry us into markets that before we were unable to penetrate,” says Mike Butler, who will head up sales and marketing at Sin City Distributions.

Sin City Distributions (available online at www.sincitydistributions.com) will also implement a drop shipping service for web-based businesses, widening the reach of its delivery network. The company is currently in the process of setting up www.VelvetgateVOD.com, a premier flash-based online video on demand service offering HD quality videos. Additionally, a Blu-Ray format will soon be available for the Educational Sex Series.

Velvetgate’s U.S. arm, Sin City Distributions has a number of adult film titles from high quality studios, including the Educational Sex Series (available online at www.educationalsexseries.com), which has been a very successful series aimed at the couples market including titles such as How to Perform a Prostate Massage (Progasm), soon to be packaged along with the Aneros product and over 15 other couple-oriented Sex Education titles and growing. Other studios carried include XXX Home Video, Lu Bricate, Riccardo Santini/Bordellonoir, Dexter Palmer Productions, Daddy Oh Productions, Pure Platinum, Glamour TV, HellHouse Dungeon and OSK Productions (producers of the Educational Sex Series and feature films such as the Black Velvet Series).

Sin City plans to distribute between four to six new releases per month. In addition to producing the Educational Series, feature films and documentaries, Velvetgate’s associated company, OSK Productions, also provides film production services, including a crew, professional editing services, original music scores, writing and script production, platform replication, and printing.
