HIGHTSTOWN, NJ– It’s always been feature rich… and now it’s much easier to use!
A team of programmers at International Video Distributors (www.ivd1.com ) has been working for weeks on a new and improved B2B Online Service. The company’s retail-ordering site – located at www.ivd1.com, whereby adult-entertainment purveyors can purchase more than 70,000 DVD titles – has been significantly updated to make the process more user-friendly and less time-consuming.
“What we accomplished is that we improved the site to make it even easier for our customers to place orders with us,” says the company’s Corporate Training Officer, Raj. “Our corporate retail customers don’t really need to be sold on the product, but they do want to drill down to the products that sell well… fast.”
IVD’s B2B Online Service interface is unlike the standard-fare online store, where a customer clicks on an item and adds it to their ‘shopping cart’ one at a time. Says Raj, “This update lets you place large orders – up to 30 at a time – per page as you browse by different criteria or by searching.”
“The updates we made will let you assign items during the checkout to different addresses. The customer can therefore split up orders, instead of having to take the extra steps of placing individual orders for different shipping destinations or calling their individual sales reps and saying, ‘Hey, of those 200 Girls Gone Wild Platinum Edition DVDs, can you send 100 to Address X and 200 to Address Y?’ It used to be a small headache.”
Another option, should retail outlets prefer, is to order off IVD’s website using a spreadsheet. IVD’s key bulk export feature, according to programmer Dominick, lets retail customers order 10 titles or 10,000 titles, shipping to 1 location or 100 locations.
“The sky’s the limit. The spreadsheet option is for use at the discretion of the buyer – whatever method they are more comfortable with,” says Dominick.
In addition, customers can browse on IVD’s site unlike anywhere else in the adult DVD industry. If a store owner wants to know what the hottest selling Tera Wray feature is, they are only two clicks away from finding out sales rankings among IVD’s inventory. At the www.ivd1.com site’s ‘Browse by Studio’ page, IVD programmers have listed all titles by popularity and customers can isolate popular titles by Star (talent) and Director. Adds Raj, “It’s based on demand and the buzz factor we get based on sales reps’ rankings. You can order our top-selling titles, and you can expect to clear your shelves fast!”
“I don’t know anyone in the industry that can give their customers such specific browsing parameters,” says Raj. (And in case you’re wondering, Tera Wray’s current top-sellers are Asseaters Unanimous 15 and Punked UR Ass!)
