New Orleans- Tony Batman posts: The invitation-only Annual Golden G String Awards at the Penthouse Club in New Orleans has been going on for 8 years now and there have been some great highlight moments in those years.
We have attended this contest four times, which begins every year the day after Fat Tuesday at the end of the Mardi Gras celebration in the New Orleans party section.
This year we had a reporter at the event as we stayed in Hollywood for the Xbiz conference and awards show.
As the reports came in after the final scores were tallied we were hearing that the club was packed to capacity and the shows were once again an awesome sight to see.
Last years overall winner Wicked Pictures Contract star and Director Stormy Daniels was unable to attend to defend the title so everything was up in the air for the taking and as we hear it the competition was fierce.
In third place and the winner of the Bronze G String was Rachelle Laree, a beautiful woman who was awesome on stage, she had the crowd going pretty good.
In second place and winner of the Silver G String Award was Keira Riley. Keira is represented for her dance bookings by the Pure-Talent Agency in Florida. We met her a couple of years back during the Exotic Dancer Expo at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. I believe it was in her first few months as a feature entertainer. She seems to have come a long way since then and why not she has a cute little personality and a smoking hot body.
This years overall winner and the recipient of the coveted Golden G String Award is none other than Feature Entertainer Aspen Reign. After four nights of competition Reign scored the necessary points from the panel of judges to take the overall top prize. This marks her second time winning the overall prize. She is also the only woman to win the gold in all three different categories (Porn, Showgirl and Magazine). Check her out in the 2008 Penthouse Club calendar.

On the interesting side we would like to congratulate Rookie Feature entertainer Gia Nova for taking the bronze medal in the “Showgirl” category. Why mention a third place prize in a certain category?
We met Gia Nova(www.myspace.com/gia_Nova) at last years Exotic Dancer Magazine Expo and Awards in Las Vegas, she was in out Expo party crew and attended all the best bashes with us at the event. We then met up with Miss Nova at the recent AVN show where we interviewed her in the ImLive.com booth. Here is the interesting part, Gia Nova has only been a feature entertainer for a handful of months and the 2008 Gold G String Competition was her fist ever dance contest. She placed and won a medal, for those of you who know the time and energy that goes into these shows. You know that is not an easy feat. We will be watching you Miss Nova. We think big things are in your future.
