Arizona – Prior to my having a chat with Brooke Haven who was doing a shoot for iBangPornStars.com , Chef Jeff e-mailed me Friday:

“Capturing some great, priceless footage of what its really like hanging with porn stars. Brooke has a hair dresser friend in AZ, she’s here coloring the girls hair. And I got to talk to one of them, being Haven. Jeff gave me an advance that Brooke had some big news, but when I get her on the phone, Brooke’s shucking and jiving saying that she prefers her “publicist” put out the story.

“They get a little mad if I don’t tell them things first,” she’s laughing. “But it’s big news.”

Except Haven’s insisting she can’t tell me. At least for now.

Having lived in Arizona, Haven said it was a second homecoming of sorts for her.

“It’s my comfort zone, and all my buddies are here,” she relates. In the booking process, Haven said she wasn’t aware that she was going to shoot for Chef Jeff. But when she met him at the airport she knew she was going to have a great week and that it would be fun.

“He’s very low key and down-to-earth,” she says. “It made me a lot more comfortable and we’ve been having a blast. Especially with Tyla out here. She’s a little barrel of fun.”

Haven starts telling me about a dinner she went to on Friday night. It was at a Japanese restaurant and a couple of Haven’s and Wynn’s fans apparently sprung for it.

“We got all dressed up and soon as we walked in, the whole restaurant is like, whoa. The hostess is like you girls are super hot. So we sit down at this table that we shared with other people. They took this group of people and sit them with us. And all of the girls at the table including the new people that sat down had big boobs. Everybody’s warming up and getting flirtatious. Before you know it, Jeff’s passing around pictures of our boobs. They were having a blast. We had a good time.”

The night before the first day she got into town, Haven came down sick.

“But I didn’t want to cancel on Jeff and got on the plane anyway.”

With the help of a little Nyquil and some sleep, Haven said she was fine after that. Then a girlfriend of hers showed up, so she and Wynn went out with her later that night. Haven also talked about celebrating a bachelorette party Saturday night and having Jeff along.

“It’s going to be Jeff and 27 of us ladies,” Haven related at the time.

I’m telling Haven this is how rumors start that with her hinting about big news and then talking about bachelorette parties, one might make assumptions. Haven says, oh no, this is for one of her girlfriends.

“Oh yeah I’ll read on Adultfyi, Brooke Haven’s engaged getting married,” she laughs.

“But you see how that can happen,” I warn her. Aside from her really big news which she isn’t talking about, Haven says she’s stopped doing anal.

“That happened within the last couple of months,” she goes on to say. “It’s just because I never truly, really, really 100% enjoyed it. And I always believed you should have a passion for what you’re doing. And if you’re not enjoying it, don’t do it. So I just figured it was better for everybody – me, the director and the people I’m working with- if I just take it off my list and do a better scene.”

“If you really didn’t like it, why did you do it to begin with?” she’s asked.

Before she got into the business, Haven had never tried anal to know one way or the other, she answers.

“Not even a finger in there,” she laughs.

“Everybody’s got to have at least one finger in their ass in their lifetime,” I tell Haven.

“So I figured why not try it out,” she answers. “I tried it but didn’t like it the first couple of times. I thought maybe it’s something that grows on you, so I gave it some time. I did some movies and realized it’s not for me.”

Except it took Haven about 150 movies to apparently figure that out.

“And it will never, ever happen again,” she swears emphatically.

“It was more of me really thinking what I wanted in my life and where I want to go with my career,” she continues. “I put my foot down and said this is what I want to do and this is what I don’t. I figured after 150 if I didn’t like it by then, I probably wasn’t going to.”

I told Haven I was going to call the NY Times with this story and take Spitzer’s hooker girlfriend off the front page.

What Haven finds funny is the fact that she’s been nominated for several anal awards.

“I must be a really good actress,” she quips. Now that she brought the whole subject up, I asked Haven what her worst experience on camera might have been with anal.

“It happened very early in my career,” she answers. “I was working for Seymore Butts. And it was my first anal anything. First off I got my butt plug stuck and there were three people trying to get it out of me. Everything got irritated back there. So when we started the scene, Kurt Lockwood was sucking my pussy and had a pocket rocket in his hand. He stuck it up there [her ass] and it was on. It was completely gone. It was just crazy and Seymore stopped everything.”

Haven said the incident was detailed on Butt’s cable show at the time, Family Business.

“But it was one helluva first anal scene, that’s for sure,” Haven comments, thinking that we had gone down this road before with that story.

“But you’re telling it much better now,” I tell her. “There’s nuance and color to it, now, that was lacking in the beginning. The longer you’re in the business the more accomplished a story teller you become.”

“Probably, and you would definitely know,” answers Haven. “If anyone would know it would be you.”

In past chats we never got to talk about Haven’s formative years.

“Where did it all go wrong?” I ask her.

“Mean Gene,” she laughs. “Actually to be honest, I had a crazy childhood and people would never think because of how well I carry myself. I’m pretty good at making decisions.”

Haven makes light of the fact that her parents got married in jail.

“My dad robbed banks, and my mom sold drugs,” she says casually. “She had a meth lab.”

Haven explains that they didn’t meet in the clink but ended up there

“It was a pretty crazy upbringing,” Haven relates. “I was in and out of foster homes. It was crazy stuff going on but I turned out great.”

“Wouldn’t it be in the genes where you were attracted to meth labs?” I ask her.

“No, not at all,” she says. “Anybody who uses the excuse of a crazy childhood is crazy. It’s all up to you and the decisions you make.”

Other than the BIG news which I was still trying to pry out of her, Haven says she’s got some mainstream projects she’s working on.

“And you’ll find out about that April 13th!” she roars. “I’ve been branching out and have had a lot of really good luck with it. It could have something to do with that really big news I was telling you about.”

“With a press release?” I ask, again busting Haven’s chops regarding her cloak and dagger generalizations.

“At least you know if you tell me a secret it’ll be safe,” Haven laughs.

“And Derek [Hay] has been very supportive on all my decisions,” she adds. “He’s become a lot more relaxed and he’s a lot more easy-going and a lot more compassionate. Not that he wasn’t. He’s a sweetheart, and I have no complaints. I’m very happy where I’m at. I have no complaints about anything.”
