Shy Love in search for true love. It would be easy if this was one of those classified ads in back of a smug magazine. It would read something like this “Shy Love in search of a man to dominate a over controlling adult star with work ethics more important than love.”
But this isn’t really me, I more of a softy at heart who is searching for someone to talk to and cuddle with.
If I could describe the love I would try and use lyrics of love songs and even the sonnets of Shakespeare and it would be impossible, because the love that I long for is real, unconditional, everlasting and indescribable. To me the love is living life like it’s an adventure and enjoying every special moment. Love is worth fighting for, risking everything for, and the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.

I go round and round, and I date and I date some more and I think, yes! I have finally found the secret to landing that perfect man. Still in today’s society the divorce rate goes higher and higher every day. A need for romance, comfort , intimacy, for sexual gratification and satisfaction, a need to be honored and understood and even accepted by our partner, these are all important aspects of who we are. Each of us has our own way in which these needs must be met in order to feel happy and secure.
In my past I have always looked for a partner to make me feel worthwhile, to make me feel happy, to rescue me from a boring unhappy life. But what I did not understand is that i should not have been seeking someone to make me feel complete or whole, what I should have done is make myself happy because these are needs that are never going to be met by anyone other than myself.
Relationships have been for me one of the best and most challenging parts of my world. It has been full of fun, romance, excitement, intense feelings, and occasional heartache, too. Sometimes it feels impossible to find someone who’s right for me. I feel that I use to look at the world through rose-colored glasses in the early stages of a relationship and in turn got my heart broken.
“In my past relationships I feel that they were unhealthy. The guys I dated were mean, disrespectful, controlling, had abusive behavior and were with me because they wanted Shy Love. It made me exhausted to deal with all of the chaos. Sometimes it felt easier to be a BITCH then to show my emotions.
The most important thing for me to be in a relationship is to find a man that can give me mutual respect. He gets me and understands who I am and respects my career path. It’s great to find someone who is into me for me. I guess the most important is finding someone you can trust, who’s honest, who supports you, who understands fairness or equality, who can communicate and knows how to separate his identity from mine. You need to have give-and-take in your relationship. In a healthy relationship, everyone needs to make compromises. But that doesn’t mean you should feel like you’re losing out on being yourself.
Now the question is “WILL SHY LOVE EVER FIND TRUE LOVE”
