PRAIRIEVILLE, Louisianna – Twelve people were arrested during an undercover operation focused on obscenity at the Escapades Lounge strip club Thursday night, including the club manager and assistant manager, Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a release.
Based on undercover observations of violations of the parish obscenity statutes, dancers at the strip club were also arrested, and several individuals were caught in possession of illegal narcotics, Bacala said.
Undercover officers from the Ascension Sheriff’s Office and the State Police, observed violations at Escapades on several occasions and sought a search warrant authorizing the search of the establishment, Bacala said.
Based on observations of violations, several dancers were arrested along with management personnel who allegedly allowed the improper conduct, Bacala said.
The strip club owner, Minh Tran, 48, of 43297 Church Point Road, Gonzales, was charged with principal to obscenity and letting a disorderly place.
The manager of the lounge, Chad Price, 31, of 149 Aspen Square, No. 7, Denham Springs, was arrested on the same charges.
– Janet Bundy, 24, of 37313 Hwy 74 Lot 60, a dancer, was arrested on a bench warrant and for obscenity.
– Misty Stevens, 23, of 8914 Caliente Ave., Denham Springs, a dancer, was charged with obscenity, possession of marijuana, possession of Adderall, and on a bench warrant failure to appear in court.
– Melissa Rollins, 34, of 615 Lebeau St., Arabi, a bartender, was arrested for possession of marijuana.
– Ciana Threats, 25, of 3316 O’Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, a dancer, was arrested for obscenity.
– Peggy Curtis, 23, of 12151 Landry Lane, Erwinville, a dancer, was arrested for obscenity and dancing without a license. She
– Amanda Bowman, 27, of 26813 Hwy. 40, Independence, a dancer, was charged with obscenity.
– Steven Baker, 26, of 3614 Oak Mount Drive, Baton Rouge, a bouncer, was arrested on two bench warrants.
– Cheryl Melody, 51, of 8816 Pecan Lane, Baton Rouge, a dancer, was arrested on charges of obscenity and possession of marijuana.
– Angela LeBlanc, 28, of 43327 R. Daigle Road, Gonzales, a dancer, was arrested on a felony Justice of the Peace warrant, B/W contempt, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
– Matthew Wascom, 38, of 17335 Amaryllis Drive, Baton Rouge, a patron at the club was charged with being a principal to obscenity.
