KTNV Las Vegas reported the following story: “Mayor Oscar Goodman’s footprints will be the first ones enshrined in Downtown’s new Legends Of Las Vegas Walk.
The Downtown Turnaround Organization says the footprints will be similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but not limited to just entertainment stars.
The concrete blocks will be used to honor the real movers and shakers in Las Vegas.

Now here’s the real scoop.
Goodman was honored by Ray Pistol, www.xxxdeepthroat.com owner of the Talk of the Town men’s club which is located on Las Vegas Blvd. Pistol’s creating a walk of fame similar to one in Hollywood, and Goodman was the first to cast his prints in concrete.
“We got coverage from all the news outlets in Las Vegas,” Robert Interlandi, Arrow’s marketing director, said. “They couldn’t believe that Oscar Goodman cast his hands in front of a strip club.”
The ceremony lasted over a half hour, and the dedicated memorial also included a glass-covered picture, biography, poker chip and several other bits of memorabilia.
Goodman is the first dignitary to be so honored. He and Pistol are friends from way back.
According to Interlandi, the Legends of Las Vegas Walk will extend all the way from Talk of the Town to Fremont St. Interlandi also notes that Goodman’s running for Governor of Nevada during the next election.
I suggest to Interlandi that this might be the first positive step twoards legalizing prostitution in Las Vegas.
“He wants to make a Red Light district in Las Vegas,” says Interlandi. “This is a really cool mayor and a very colorful man. And check this out- he’s also sponsored by Bombay Sapphire Gin.”
That being said, I asked Interlandi if the Deep Throat Energy, www.deepthroatenergy.com drink was the official drink of the Goodman induction ceremony.
“We handed him one, and he’s like I don’t want that shit,” Interlandi laughed. “It was pretty funny. I told him I’ll put gin in it and he’s, well, maybe. But not when the news cameras are here.”
