Philadelphia, Pa – Arrow Productions’ licensed comic books from Terminal Press got embraced by comic book fans as well as the comic book world at the recent Philly Wizard World convention.
As the ’08 convention season rolls on, it was another successful show over at the Terminal Press booth. With six years under its belt in the City of Brotherly Love, TP had a chance to reunite with old friends and fans over the spring weekend and show off all of the new books and uncoming covers.
Featured was Arrow’s, www.xxxdeepthroat.com licensed comic book “Debbie Does Dallas,” a sci-fi brawler featuring Texas’ most famous cheerleader versus a city of deranged mutants.
The title is the newest in TP’s line of limited run, highly collectible one-shots.
“Debbie Does Dallas” is the first in a line of five different high-octane, artistic reinterpretations of classic adult cinema. Writer Brian Ferrara, colorist Narek Gevorgian and Russ Manning nominated artist Rolo Ledesma were on hand signing “Debbie Does Dallas” and doing sketches of the heroine for the fans.
Joining them was Keith McCleary, writer of the upcoming “Deep Throat” comic and TP’s newest creator-owned book, “Killing Tree Quarterly.”
Fans unable to attend the show may have missed their chance to grab a first-run copy of the popular “I Hate Zombies,” by writer and artist Ken Knudtsen, who is also handling the art duties on the upcoming “The Devil in Miss Jones” title.
TP’s final copies of the book’s first printing were gone by the end of the day Sunday, but a second printing is “in the works,” according to Ferrara.
Look for the Terminal Press booth to rear its misshapen head next at the mother-of-‘em-all, Comic Con International in San Diego, booth #1221.
