Porn Valley- It took Arrow’s marketing director Robert Interlandi a couple of days to recoup from Erotica LA, during which time, Interlandi was in the middle of signing a “pasties” licensing deal for Deep Throat www.xxxdeepthroat.com

And to understand what that’s all about, you only need to look at the picture.

“The pasties look pretty cool,” says Interlandi. “And I’m really stoked on this new licensing. I’m going to have a bunch of different styles, but this first is the energy drink-one. The idea is when we go to bars, we can have a who has the best cans contest among the girls. That’ll make great YouTube videos with the girls crushing cans with their boobs and pouring drinks all over themselves.”

Interlandi’s laughing because his 19 year-old sister got “deep throat” lessons from porn performer Morgan Ray by way of a banana.

“Then she did it for the crowd [at the show]- 25 guys with cameras were snapping her. I thought, my God, what have I done to my sister? She’s innocent then I take her to her first porn convention.”

“The biggest highlight of the convention besides how much fun I had at the booth was Vivid’s announcement that they were re-making Deep Throat,” continues Interlandi.

“Steve Hirsch stopped by the booth, and he was all excited about it. I was like what happened to your girls? He said they’re all over there but they’re all drunk. I don’t want them on the mechanical bull.”

Then Arrow’s Raymond Pistol that Sunday night received an award at the FOXE show. He was named The Patron Saint of Porn Preservation.
Pistol accepted the award and said, “This award goes mostly to Paul Interlandi [Robert’s father]. He’s the guy that does all the restoration. I just pay him the money.”

“My dad does do amazing stuff with the restoration,” Interlandi has to agree.

“Bob Chinn said that what my dad did with Candy Stripers www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=20130 , he adjusted all the light levels so you could see the gels and everything Chinn wanted to use for Candy Stripers. He said my dad did a better job when he restored it than when they actually telecine’d it back in the day. He said everything you did to my film was everything I wanted to do originally but didn’t have the money to do it.”

“We’re going to keep restoring films and we have a bunch more that we’re going to do,” Interlandi adds.

“But we’ve been waiting the dust to settle on Blu-Ray. We’re going to restore all the movies and put them on Blu-Ray. It’s going to look cool with all the films we have in the library.”

In other developments, Arrow continues its search for the new Linda Lovelace, and Interlandi’s about to launch a new website with Homegrown Video devoted to the effort. The scheduled launch is this week or thereabouts, www.deepthroattryout.com

“We’re going to take amateur submissions,” says Interlandi. “I can’t do these open casting calls all over the United States, and this will be the fastest way I can reach everybody at one time. I figured to go with Homegrown on this project because they have all the experience with amateur submissions and they also have a big pool of amateurs they already use. It’ll be a match made in heaven for what we’re doing.”

“But my only complaint about Erotica LA is that I couldn’t sell my energy drinks,” says Interlandi.

“That just bothered me- I could have made so much money; and everyone wanted it.”

“Jules Jordan was passing out the Cocaine energy drink- which you couldn’t do. People would come to our booth, throw the Cocaine can away and sample ours. The Cocaine energy drink tastes like crap and leaves a harsh after taste in the back of your throat. It’s very sugary. But it was pretty cool.”

Interlandi also reports the fact that he and his father are buying a motor home in order to take the Arrow show to Sturgis the first week in August to sell the Deep Throat Energy drink, www.deepthroatenergy.com

“Then we’re invited over to the Playboy mansion for a Seventies party,” he notes. “But that’s right after the Comicon in San Diego [July 24th to 27th].”

The Deep Throat Energy Drink will also be featured at the Bar Show in New York, June 22nd and 23rd. And Interlandi goes back to Gallagher’s in Long Beach on the 19th this week.

“We’re going to have a party over there with the mechanical bull. The last time we were there, we took a third of the bar floor with the bull but tripled the sales for a normal Thursday night. It was that busy. Now they’re promoting the shit out of it because everyone loved it so much.”
