WWW- B-52s singer Kate Pierson is at the centre of a nude photo scandal after an alleged picture of her appeared online.

A woman bearing a strong resemblance the 60-year-old singer is shown smiling as she poses fully naked on a bed, which has appeared on a number of websites.

According to PerezHilton.com, the Love Shack singer’s photo was taken by a former lover who fell out with the star and then leaked the photos online in an act of revenge.

The band formed in 1976 and championed their new wave rock sound to public adulation.

The B-52s are currently touring to promote the release of their first original album in 16 years titled Funplex.
