Desi Foxx writes on www.desifoxx.com : We set the first alarm for 4am to wake us up. The second went off at 4:30am which meant one of us had to get in the shower. It takes me longer to get ready but Elli jumped up so I slept alittle longer In case you haven’t been to NY, hotel rooms are smaller due to lack of space in NY and ours was no exception. Poor Patrick had to work around 2 girls sharing this small space and one small bathroom and in a frenzy because we were going on The Howard Stern Show.
We had to take our luggage with us since we were checking out that day so we had to pack too. Everything actually went very smoothly and we were in a cab at 6:15 as planned. The cabbie seemed confused about the right entrance we needed in Howard’s building so we circled it three times. They tend to think they know where you want to be so they don’t listen to the details. But in NY, the address of the building can be on one street but the entrances can be on the 3 others as some buildings take a whole block. Then add more than one entrance . . you get the idea. We ended up telling him to just drop us off and we walked a block or so to the right entrance, oh well lol!
We went thru a tough security process, got our passes and headed up the elevator. Once there, went through more security and then there was a guy with a camera and the fun began. Our documentary guys were allowed to go with us so it was cool to have them along. We were very nervous but that went away as we met everyone. Everyone was so nice and made sure we were comfortable. We were taken to a “green room” where they kept our luggage for us and gave us some redbulls which was helpful We were then moved to another “green room” and that’s where Patrick and Juan Carlos were during our show. They had the show on so we could listen until it was time for us to go on. We took pics while we waited so we could share the experience with you:
You can go to www.HowardStern.com for September 11, 2008, to read about the show or to Howard Stern TV OnDemand to watch it. We had a great time with Howard and Robin. They were really good to us even though we did get some tough questions. Howard plugged TheFoXXs.com several times which brought us alot of traffic and new fans. Howard was so cool to talk to, very down to earth and didn’t let the callers give us too much shit. And it felt good to have Robin there, another woman in the room to bounce things off of. We relaxed pretty quickly and the time just flew by.
Their studio was my fav as it is red and purple with cool furniture and stuff all over. This was by far the biggest studio we had been in yet. Elli rode the Sybian (she was all up for that as soon as she heard he had one lol) and had 3 young guys helping her get off though she was really all about Howard bending her over that desk of his hehe. It was crazy wild and I just plugged my ears, didn’t watch and let her have her fun. Patrick said when she started, a bunch of the guys in the office came running down the hall to the studio so they could watch.
When we got back to the first Green Room to get our luggage, look who was in the room. I grew up with Danny, watching him on Partridge Family (which he said dates us both to even bring up lol), so I wasn’t even nervous when I saw him. Felt like an old friend ;). We said our goodbyes and headed out the door to Maury’s car which was waiting for us.
As we came out the door, there was an older gentleman with a camera that came up to us, all excited to see us there. He said he had heard us on the show so he grabbed a camera and rushed down to try to meet us. We posed for a few pics with him and Elli said he was all into me as he wanted more with me then her LOL. I was just surprised by the attention so didn’t notice. It was my first real fan encounter!! That was the cherry on top of a fantastic morning!!
