Ms V writes: Gene, Just came across an article published in the August 2008 issue of AVN Magazine regarding John Gray and the synergy between gentlemen’s clubs and adult video.
Mr. Gray continues to tell his untruths to anyone that will listen and AVN continues to report on them. I guess if you are paying for advertising AVN will print anything. At first glance at this article I located a least a half a dozen lies stated by Mr. Gray.
1. Mr. Gray does not own and operate clubs in Central Europe and Russia. These have all been closed for over a year and a half.
2. Mr. Gray does not spend $50,000.00 per month on public relations
3. Mr. Gray does not book adult feature dancers weekly at the majority of its clubs
4. Mr Gray does not have 73 billboards worldwide.
5. Mr. Gray states that the acquisition of Ninn Worx was not for the purpose of the production of movies but rather for the ability to create trailers and late-night infomercials on TV; the ability to further promote mainstream appearences at Spearmint Rhino clubs; the ability to shoot pruposeful video for use in the clubs or orientation videos for the dancers. Why then did Ninn produce and direct some 12 plus titles for Ninn Worx_SR including The Four?
6. Mr. Gray does not have a 30,000 square foot film studio in Norco, CA
I remember seeing an article you published on Ten Questions the Media Should Ask John Gray (or something like that) I have attached a list of 10 new questions I, for one, find rather humorous.
BTW: What is Ninn doing now?
MS. V
Gene sez: Dear Ms. V., Michael Ninn is being Michael Ninn which so few of us can. And I’ll be sure to run your ten new questions in another box. And may I had, since I ran AVN at one time, I find your comments most amusing because they’re pretty true.
