Tim Case writes: Gene – Since so many porn professionals are quick to point out that “everyone” in porn has herpes — I’ve read that statement many times for eight years now, in a variety of forums — well, I’m just happy that Felicia insisted on condoms for as long as she did, and that she tried to be as careful as she was when circumstances forced her to work non-condom before she retired.

I’m sure a lot’s changed out there in 3 years, but I do hope that Rocco’s statement is hyperbole, and not “everyone” in the industry has the virus. Herpes, while not the scourge that many non-sufferers may think it is, is still one thing I’m happy she never brought home from a set — I read recently that 1 out of 5 American adults suffer from genital herpes, and I’m glad to be still in the majority.
