Porn Valley- The Grand Vizier tells me about the “secret” meeting in Porn Valley Thursday between some of the adult companies and the VOD companies. It was held at the Radison on Topanga and Lassen.

According to the Vizier, some of the porn companies attending were Vivid, Combat Zone, Bang Bros. and Evasive Angles. And some boys from Cleveland flew in special. A total of maybe 50 people were there.

“I heard that the VOD companies got beat up pretty good,” says the Vizier. “But everyone seems to be sworn to secrecy.”

According to The Vizier, the porn companies think they will, but will never get the VOD companies to stop selling pay per minute.

“And this is why VOD companies have thousands of members- people like that deal,” the Vizier continues.

“The problem is the studios are starting to get greedy because they want to stay in business. Instead of getting 8 cents a minute, they want 36 cents a minute. They want to make the same amount of money on a VOD purchase as they would on a DVD purchase. “
