There’s been talk of doing a movie about the late Linda Lovelace, www.xxxdeepthroat.com going back to the Mid Nineties. And names like Courtney Love, Anna Faris and, now, Rose McGowan, have been attached at one time or another to the project. Probably a few more actress’ names, with no consequence, will be dropped in press releases as interested parties before all is said and done.
In Los Angeles there’s a show going on right now titled Lovelace: A Rock Opera which began last week at the Hayworth Theatre, 2509 Wilshire Blvd.
It’s scheduled to run until Nov. 23. It’s all music, no dialogue. You get the impression it’s pretty light hearted so doubtless the following episode from Lovelace’s book titled Ordeal is included.
From everything Lovelace says in her autobiography you get the impression that she did what she did at the point of a gun with Chuck Traynor holding the gun. According to Lovelace, one of Traynor’s bright ideas in a pantheon of many was to bring her and Hugh Hefner together sexually.
They were at the Playboy Mansion one evening and Traynor gave Lovelace orders to discourage the advances of any guy who came on to her, except Hefner. Lovelace describes how Hefner came down to the Jacuzzi and once that happened Traynor began nudging her to make contact.
Lovelace sensed that Hefner wasn’t particularly attracted to her and as far as that was concerned, she was okay with it. Of course Lovelace also suspected that men tended to be inhibited around her because of the size of men she consumed on screen. Lovelace thought this pertained to Hefner as well.
Hefner first suggested that Lovelace make the acquaintance of another girl named Lila. So Lovelace and Lila began putting on a lesbian show for Hefner. A crowd began to form, and so Lovelace and Lila were urged to continue. Traynor then began fisting Lovelace. Then Lila took over.
“At this point everyone there applauded…like in one of those old Fred Astaire movies,” recalls Lovelace. It was at that point that Hefner, probably at the urging of Traynor, Lovelace suspects, came up to her and pushed his cock nonchalantly in her ass.
“That was his big thrill and chill, and that was that,” writes Lovelace. “When he finished, Hefner disappeared.”
