Stern comments on HIV story

New York- Howard Stern added a few comments of his own Monday morning about but the HIV outbreak.

“Can you imagine? Now they’re saying the industry might shut down for 60 days and people are panicked,” Stern observed. Artie Lange was questioning the big need for new porn.

“Old porn isn’t all that good,” Stern surmised. Lange said five years’ worth of old porn was enough to sustain him for a few months. Robin Quiivers wondered why, if porn was considered a $7 to $10 billion industry, that most people in it were working paycheck to paycheck. Stern suggested that it was because they weren’t paid well to begin with.

“You tell a guy he can have chicks…” Stern said. Quivers finished by saying said guy is not going to ask for money. Artie said he knew Lexington Steele and that he was very bad with money. “He really is. It just flies out of his pocket.” Lange has been dropping Steele’s name liberally in conversations for weeks and even brought his name up last week when Arianna Huffington was on the show and asked whether she ever banged Steele when Huffington admitted that she had some trysts with black men.

Stern also observed that Jenna Jameson was worth over $10 million. “She’s got all the money,” Quivers said noting that Jameson and her husband have started up the Adult Industry Assistance Fund.

“She blames the HIV outbreak on the explosion of porn movies being made in Eastern Europe and South America where there is no mandatory testing,” Quivers went on to say. “I guess it’s a lure to go over there and make quick bucks and then you come back and continue to have sex with the people you’re in the industry with over here. And that’s what’s happening.”

Taking a veiled slap at AVN, Stern commented cynically: “If you wait 60 days everything will be cool. They’re saying that condoms will now be mandatory in porn.”

Artie said that wasn’t hot. “I hate that.” Stern agreed. “I hate it too. I think I understand why they have to. But for some reason I watch porn with a condom, I get upset. I like psorts and I like sex. So I like to see a dangerous kind of sex with no condoms, the Russian roulette-thing.”

Quivers noted that 65 performers were being quarantined. It was humorously suggested that performers were being kept on a fake pizza delivery set. It was also suspected that those in quarantine could command expensive “bug chasing” video prices, ala the gay industry, by those who wanted to watch them having sex.
