HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — www.xbiz.com reports: The SwingFest 2009 Convention has been cancelled despite reports of a successful 2008 convention and “unprecedented” media exposure.
“As much as the SwingFest staff would like to unveil a bigger and better 2009 convention, we just don’t have the funding,” said Greg Freeman, marketing director for SwingFest 2008.
A company press release said “sources close to the event” attribute the lack of funding for the 2009 convention to allegations that “self-proclaimed ‘owner of SwingFest'” Jason C. Jean misappropriated more than $200,000 of company revenue, among other things.
“We had apprehensions about [Jean] early on, but we never thought one man could damage the hard work and support of so many,” Freeman said. “When the dust settles, and all the damage has been assessed, we’ll review the possibility of a SwingFest 2010. In the meantime, we’ll be far more selective when choosing business associates.”

By 2007 Jason reintroduced his Clubs as Tabu Girls Live and established Club Zü; a members only Lifestyle Night Club, with locations in Mayfield, PA and Key West. In 2008 Jason along with Chef Anthony Masso launched Masso’s Bistro and Zü lounge located in Boca Raton, FL.
With personal involvement in the Lifestyle, coupled with the Lifestyle’s national and international growth, Jason envisioned the concept of SwingFest, which came to fruition in August 2008. SwingFest ’08 celebrated overwhelming success as the world’s largest Lifestyle party and adult expo. Plans are currently underway for SwingFest ’09 in a West Coast location as well as a European destination.
Despite the many social conflicts and legal issues to overcome Jason continues to pursue safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental forums for entertainment and education of the Lifestyle.
Jason married over 14-years to wife Russy, a registered nurse, specializing in material-infant care, live modestly with their two children in Key West, Florida. Together they are philanthropically involved in Key West and in Philadelphia with the Special Olympics, Fraternal Order of Police, Mason, Shiners, Women’s Fest, Fantasy Fest and the Salvation Army. They also contribute to local youth baseball, cheerleading and Charlie Smith Memorial, KW.
