Memphis Grizzlies’ guard Marko Jaric is accused of sexually assaulting a woman earlier this month in Philadelphia, according to Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

On Thursday NBC Philadelphia reported a possible sexual assault involving a Memphis Grizzlies player happened earlier in 2009.

Jaric has now been outed by SI.

A woman has accused the 30-year-old of sexually assaulting her, said Mannix.

Jaric, a Belgrade native, is known more for his off the court courtship than his on the court play. He married supermodel Adriana Lima last month.

The Grizzlies were in town to play the Sixers when the alleged assault took place. The Grizzlies are aware there is investigation surrounding one of their players, said a team representative to NBC Philadelphia.

Philly police would only confirm that they are investigating an allegation. The police wouldn’t elaborate on who the allegation was against or any other details.
