I got word Saturday morning that industry vet Barry Rhodes passed away Thursday. I’m not exactly sure of the causes, but Rhodes had a mild stroke recently and was recuperating from that. He also had a triple bypass a number of years ago.

Barry worked in industry sales for a number of years and was with Ona Zee Productions for awhile, John Bowen’s Cream Productions but spent his longest time with Cinderella.

“We always kept in touch- he was such a sweetheart,” says Jack Stephan who was VP of Cinderella during the time of Rhodes’ tenure there.

“He was a caring guy but dropped off the radar last year,” Stephan went to say. “When I heard the news I was between shock and crying.”

According to Stephan, Rhodes had just finished school to become a drug counselor.
