MIAMI BEACH from www.cbs4.com- The Exxxotica convention has arrived again in South Florida. The annual convention is the largest adult-themed consumer convention on the East coast. At the convention, you can buy merchandise, meet your favorite adult film stars and the organizers hope you bring your significant other in what’s being deemed a celebration of sexy.

“I love the people, I love the money, I love everything about it,” said adult film star Bree Olson. She’s a 3-year veteran of the multi-billion dollar a year adult film industry. With that much money floating around, the competition to be the top star is intense.

“It’s hard, cause you have to deal with new girls with big personalities” 6-year-veteran Eva Angelina said.

The fans are dedicated and according to the fans it’s not about pornography. Instead, they claim it’s about freedom, expression, and relationships. “I have had a lot of people come up to me and give me their input, telling me how I have helped their relationship with one another,” Olson said.

And according to some of the stars spoken to, the industry’s number one fans might surprise you. “Wives even come up to you and thank you?” 5-year veteran Teagan Presley was asked. “Yes, they thank us and say where did you get your shoes, and how do you do your make-up,” Presley said.

Organizers and attendees said the convention allows thousands of people who may be something that even today is largely kept quiet. “It really is an opportunity for men, women, couples, young, old to come in and experience something they wouldn’t anywhere else,” said Exxxotica producer J. Handy.
