LOS ANGELES, CA — The opening round is done and the finals are set with what should be epic showdowns in a variety of categories as fans of adult can vote on their favorites in the 2009 F.A.M.E. Awards (www.thefameawards.com <http://www.thefameawards.com> ).
Fans can log onto the F.A.M.E. (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) now through June 12th and vote for their choices in 15 categories.
Response for this year’s event is already surpassing last year’s astounding totals fans are flocking to the website to select their faves in XXX. Some of the biggest names in adult are included in the final round, and while some have been there before, there are some newer names that have received enough votes to make it to the final round. Fans also chose the final “Wild Card” category of “Favorite Star Website” and a committee of industry professionals selected the eight finalists in that category. Adult industry icon, Wicked Pictures contract star and multi-award winner Stormy Daniels has been signed to host the 2009 F.A.M.E. (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) Awards Show on Saturday, June 13th at Erotica L.A. Stormy and adult’s biggest stars will be appearing on the main stage at the Los Angeles Convention Center as part of Erotica LA.
“I am truly honored to host the F.A.M.E. Awards this year. F.A.M.E. means a lot to the adult industry because it puts the power into the hands of the fans,” said Stormy who was named the 2008 F.A.M.E. ‘Favorite Director,’ as well as owning the fan’s choice ‘Favorite Breasts’ (2006 and 2007). “Keep your eyes peeled for some very special guests and some Wicked surprises.”
As one of the top names in adult, Stormy has also made quite a name for herself in mainstream entertainment with appearances in movies such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, on television shows such as “Dirt,” in music videos with bands such as Maroon 5, and most recently, Daniels is making headlines as a possible senatorial candidate for her home state of Louisiana.

The F.A.M.E. Awards were created in 2006 by industry leaders Genesis Magazine (www.genesisonline.com <http://www.genesisonline.com> ), Adam & Eve (www.adamandeve.), WantedList.com and AVN.com as a way for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. It is the first show where the fans take part in the entire process —from choosing the finalists to ultimately selecting the winners in over a dozen categories.
