The Texans last week made public a desire to sell ads on their jerseys. Zero Tolerance soon made them an offer.

Texans VP of Communications Tony Wyllie turned down the offer on behalf of the franchise, which finished with an 8-8 record in 2008.

“We were contacted from an unsolicited ad agency and upon discovering it was an adult entertainment company, we shut it down,” Wyllie said. “We will not consider, nor will we ever consider their offer. We will not be associated with them.”

Houston first considered allowing ads on its jerseys because of a recent NFL rules change. The Denver Broncos have also considered putting ads on its uniforms.

Representatives for Zero Tolerance had not returned calls by post time.
