From www.worthingherald.co.uk – A high-class call girl giving evidence in a murder trial of three men accused of killing a caretaker in north-west London has told the jury that she had risked her life to be a witness.
Rebecca DeFalco said: “Do you realise how much I am risking my life? I could be killed when I get home.”

Miss DeFalco [known as Paris in the adult business] is giving evidence against property developer Thanos Papalexis and claimed he confessed to her in 2004.

Her outburst came when defence counsel Stephen Kamlish QC accused her of getting details about the crime from press reports.

She told him: “I am sorry, I don’t read the press, sir.”

Miss DeFalco, who said Papalexis paid her in lump sums of $2,500, described her statement to Scotland Yard detectives as “sincerely truthful”.

Papalexis, 36, of Palm Beach, Florida, and failed Kosova Albanian asylum seekers Ylli Xhelo, 36, unemployed, of no fixed address, and Robert Baxhija, 29, a painter of Sidney Avenue, Palmers Green, north London, deny murder.

They are alleged to have beaten up and strangled caretaker Charalambos Christodoulides, 55, in Kilburn in 2000 because he stood in the way of a £2m property deal.

Miss DeFalco reported a conversation she said she had with Papalexis in a hotel in Palm Beach to police last year after Papalexis was arrested.
