Porn performer Paris may now hold the length record for testimony in a murder trial.
From www.palmbeachdailynews.com/- Rebecca DeFalco [aka Paris] might be a porn actress and a prostitute, but, she says, she’s no liar.
DeFalco, a key prosecution witness in the ongoing London murder trial of former Manalapan resident Thanos Papalexis, snapped at defense counsel Michael Borrelli when he asked her if she fabricated her testimony in an attempt to make it more book- or film-worthy.
Papalexis, 36, has denied that he killed Charalambos Christodoulides to prevent him from getting in the way of a property sale that would save Papalexis from certain bankruptcy.
According to BBC reports, DeFalco, who told the court last week that Papalexis told her of the murder during one of their thrice-weekly trysts at the Four Seasons, testily replied to Borrelli, “You cannot call me a liar. I didn’t fly all the way here to lie to you.”
DeFalco’s riveting appearance on the stand at the Old Bailey took a strange turn when she brought the White House into the case.
DeFalco told the court that Papalexis was so convincing in his claims that he worked for the CIA and its British counterpart, M16, that when he disappeared from her life she wrote to then-president George W. Bush for help.
She also said she was unaware of the significance of Papalexis’ claims that he strangled Christodoulides — a tenant who refused to move from a warehouse Papalexis was trying to sell — until an Internet search for his name turned up the murder charge.
After a short break, the trial is continuing in London.
