Nebraska- from www.wowt.com – Both the prosecution and defense have rested their cases in the sexual assault trial of a former Millard teacher. The case is expected to go to the jury late Thursday afternoon.
Stephanie Draper is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student back in 2002. Court documents allege the two had sex on at least four occasions.
Draper has pleaded not guilty.
Wednesday, her accuser took the stand. The defense argued his story is inconsistent and focused on an email allegedly trying to blackmail Draper in exchange for his silence. The prosecution claims the basic facts are the same, even if some of the details were different.
