There goes that offer from Vivid.
from www.channelnewsasia.com – Marion Cotillard won’t do porn movies.
We don’t know why one of France’s most respected actresses would say that out of the blue but that’s what you get talking to someone who, for better or worse, just says what she thinks.
Funnily enough, what Cotillard was asked at the recent international press conference for the gangster flick Public Enemies, was whether she preferred acting in any particular movie genre.
“I don’t have a special genre that I love more than another one and that’s what I love about this job. You get the opportunity to go from science fiction to film d’auteur to action,” said the 33-year-old.
“Really, I love any – except porn. I don’t like porn. Not even to watch. I’ve wasted 10 minutes of my life (watching it) and that was enough. Well, I have to say, even if I loved porn, I don’t think I would want to be in a porn movie. I don’t know. I just don’t like it.”
Pardon our French, Marion, but where did the hell did that come from? Still, it’s amusing how the thought even crossed the lovely Cotillard’s mind, especially since she doesn’t need to strip to get noticed.
Her films A Very Long Engagement and La Vie En Rose took care of that. She bagged a Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actress for the former in 2005, while her portrayal of Edith Piaf in the latter saw her win Best Actress awards from Bafta, Cesar and the Oscars.
Cotillard revealed it wasn’t so much winning the Oscar as the movie itself that opened doors for her – nabbing her roles as Dillinger’s love interest Billie Frechette in Public Enemies, and another one in Nine, a Rob Marshall musical inspired by Federico Fellini’s 8½.
Then talk turned once again to the subject of sex – this time her sex scene with Public Enemies leading man Johnny Depp.
“It’s really not something I’m comfortable with – sex scenes in general. The way I can handle it is to tell people I’m really uncomfortable with it,” said the doe-eyed Cotillard with a big sigh. “Even with Depp, Brad Pitt … Even my boyfriend (French actor Guillaume Canet), who’s the most amazing and beautiful boy in the world. I prefer to be beaten for hours!”
As we said, that’s what you get from someone who speaks her mind … no matter what.
