I always hear people in the adult industry say that relationships don’t work. But I think if a pornstar decides to start a relationship with someone, they just need to communicate with their partner and their partner needs to be comfortable with their girlfriend/boyfriend having sex with other people.

But I don’t think you can really be in love with someone when you are having sex with other people. So, although a relationship can work it may be impossible for real love to develop. Don’t you want or need to experience the affection/emotions that come with being in a loving relationship? We are all human beings and we all need affection and the company of a special person at some point in our life. Do you think you could find yourself in a serious committed relationship in your profession?

Dear Tucker:

You made some really great points that I very much agree with, like the fact that all humans need to experience the affection and emotions that come with a loving relationship. I also believe it is not possible to be in love with someone when you are having sex with other people, but there are folks out there who would disagree with us.

Some people live their lives together in open relationships, or are married and engage in activities like swinging. Some people are in committed relationships but have jobs like mine. And still others say that they are in love, but cheat on their partners. And you know what? It may work for them. Each individual has to make choices based on their lifestyle.

There are many ways I feel love. Through my family, through my true friends and through my dogs Coco and Pebbles. They mean the world to me. I know that is different from the kind of love a relationship brings, and I know that it will take an really special and strong man to to accept me as a whole package, including my time as a pornstar. But I am made up of much more than that and have done so many other things. I’ve been a licensed realtor, a yoga instructor, a television host and a nationally broadcast radio show personality. You know the old saying: “You cant judge a book by its cover?” Well, I truly believe you can’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.
