from www.examiner.com – The 30th Annual 2009 Exotic Erotic Ball has returned to the Cow Palace. According to the Exotic Erotic’s web site the event is: “Part Mardi Gras, part burlesque, and part rock concert, yet totally unique. The Exotic Erotic Ball is a celebration of human sexuality and freedom of expression. It’s a lingerie, fetish, masquerade affair.”
Last years event was held on Treasure Island and lacked the energy and carnival like feel of the previous years but still attracted a loyal following. The move back to the Cow Palace could not have been at a better time since there are going to be no city-sponsored parties in San Francisco such as the Castro Halloween Celebration as reported by the local Network TV stations. This move should breath a new life and energy back into the Ball and attrach a bigger crowd.
Past events have featured celebrities like George Clinton, Snoop Dogg, and Dennis Rodman. This year Special Guest includes Tila Tequlia and Danny Bonaduce and host of live musical entertainment, dancers and burlesque dancers. Look for the 5 part series on the history, interivews with the producers of the Ball, and a post party review and wrap-up.
