WHITE PLAINS – from www.midhudsonnews.com – A high end prostitution operation that recruited, managed and scheduled nearly three dozen women sending them on calls to many Westchester county hotels, has been broken.
Arrested were Kenneth Fuina, 59, and Shawana Smith, 37, both of White Plains. They were each charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree, a felony. They were both remanded on $100,000 cash or bond.
Genevieve Margaret Peattie, 29, [pictured] of Forrest Hills, was charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance.
Police investigated the enterprise that operated both out-call and in-call prostitution services. The rates ranged from $600 to $2,000 with multiple hours available. The proceeds were then split.
Out-calls included at Rye Town Hilton, the Residence Inn in White Plains, the Crowne Plaza in White Plains, the Doral Arrowwood Hotel in Rye Brook, Springhill Marriott Suites in Hotel, the Marriott Courtyard and the Marriott Hotel in Tarrytown.
Fuina and Smith face a maximum of 2 1/3 to seven year in state prison. Peattie faces up to 90 days in the county jail.
The undercover investigation into this operation extended over a more than two year period.
