SEATTLE — Gil Conte, a longtime friend of Seattle strip club boss Frank Colacurcio Sr., has pleaded guilty in a federal racketeering case aimed at putting Colacurcio’s operation out of business.

Conte, 76, entered the plea Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to one count of conspiracy to use interstate facilities in aid of racketeering. He is expected to be sentenced to probation and to forfeit his interest in Sugar’s nightclub in Shoreline.

Conte was one of six men, including the 92-year-old Colacurcio and his son, indicted last summer as part of a federal investigation into what prosecutors described as rampant prostitution, mail fraud and money laundering at Colacurcio’s nightclubs.
