VENICE, CA – Kagney Linn Karter has stormed into 2010, winning Best New Starlet at the AVN Awards Saturday night. She also won Best POV Sex Scene for her work in Digital Sin’s Pound the Round POV.

The win caps an enormous week for Kagney—days earlier she signed a two-year exclusive contract with Zero Tolerance—and one of the most impressive debut years in the history of adult.

She was the winner Adult Web Movie Database’s (AWMDB) Best New Performer award and named Best Newcomer by Porn Valley Observed last month. She’s on the cover of Holly Randall’s new book, Erotic Dream Girls. She’s appeared on the cover of Hustler, AVN, Penthouse, Genesis, Cheri and others and starred in some of 2009’s biggest titles, including Not Married With Children XXX (which won her a Best Supporting Actress nomination), WKRP in Cincinnati: A XXX Parody, TMSleaze, This Ain’t Hell’s Kitchen XXX and many others.

“This feels amazing!” Kagney said after the show. “I want to thank everyone—AVN and all the voters, the directors and producers who booked me, the fans, my agency [LA Direct Models], my publicity team…. I worked really hard and it truly paid off. It’s a great feeling.”

AVN Live posted a prescient interview with the bombshell a couple weeks ago and there was much discussion of her AVN Award nominations (she had six total).

As the industry awards began getting doled out in recent weeks, the buzz around Kagney continued to grow. Late last week Playboy.com deemed Kagney a “Star Among Stars” on the Girlwatcher Best of 2009 list—and she was the only adult star to be included. Her escalation to contract girl with Zero Tolerance signaled that she had hit yet another career goal.
