OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, Florida — from www.tcpalm.com – The so-called bikini teacher turned porn actress, who became a media sensation two years ago, was arrested in Okeechobee County on a misdemeanor perjury false police report charge, according to recently released records.

Tiffany Lea Shepherd, 32, generated an avalanche of news coverage in spring 2008 after claiming she was released from her teaching contract in Port St. Lucie because of a job on a charter boat offering trips with bikini-clad and topless women. The school district cited Shepherd’s “excessive absences,” rather than her stint with Smokin’ Em Charters, for the dismissal.

In the months that followed, the mother of three appeared on national television shows and said she turned down an offer to pose in “Playboy.” In Oct. 2008, she said the teaching job offers weren’t exactly pouring in, and later said that porn became her only option.

In her recent arrest, Shepherd, whose screen name is “Leah Lust,” in November told an Okeechobee police officer that a woman whom she has a protection order against “came to the court and was making a scene and calling her names when she was exiting the court room,” a report states.

On Jan. 21, the subject of the protection order told investigators it didn’t happen and that she had witnesses — her boyfriend and a deputy — to confirm it.

She said she and her boyfriend were held by the deputy upstairs until Shepherd and Shepherd’s boyfriend left in their vehicle. She said the deputy walked her and her boyfriend to their vehicle “so they could leave without incident.”

The boyfriend and deputy gave the same account.

Shepherd was booked Wednesday into the Okeechobee County Jail on a misdemeanor perjury false police report charge.

Of her choice to go into porn, Shepherd told The Palm Beach Post’s Josie Lambiet, she wasn’t “particularly proud of it.”

“To be honest, I hate it,” Shepherd said. “I’m an educated woman, but I never thought it would come to this. No one gets brought up thinking they’ll be a floozy.”
