from www.creativeloafing.com – The video game enthusiast website The Escapist just released their newest web reality series, “I Hit It With My Axe”, which features porn stars and strippers role playing, but not the kind of roles you’d be expecting – think elves, sorcerers, and the like. They’re playing Dungeons and Dragons. (This could have also been titled “A D&D Nerd’s Wet Dream”.)
Self-proclaimed as “hardcore, old school D&D action”, the show will be a year-long, weekly series on The Escapist’s site, with adult film actors like Satine Phoenix, Kimberly Kane, Sasha Grey, Justine Joli, and Zak Sabbath, along with some of their stripper/fetish model pals dropping dice (and maybe their knickers). And, yes, they actually play D&D.
The idea for the show came from the group’s D&D blog they’d been keeping, DnD With Porn Stars, and it somehow got picked up by The Escapist for a web series. I can definitely see how The Escapist thought their gamer readers would be into this – it’d be like having a show about Justin Bieber playing ‘Mall Madness’ with the Jonas Brothers aimed at a teen girl audience, right? I don’t think you’ll be able to count on this show for any nudity, but the ladies do enjoy talking about their boobs and making sexual innuendos during the game.
Satine Phoenix, who is currently playing Elf Rogue character named “Mirror”, told io9’s Annalee Newitz:
“Why wouldn’t a porn star play Dungeons and Dragons? It’s an escapist game just like World of Warcraft or any video game. Porn is a job like most others where at the end of the day you are glad to be home. It is pretty funny that people think that all porn stars do is have sex with one another. Okay, that IS mostly true, but when they aren’t having sex with each other, many play games or watch movies.”

“The plan is to play for a whole year. If we die we just roll up new characters. The show will be our various adventures within the campaign,” says Phoenix.
