DOYLESTOWN, Pa from www.buckslocalnews.com — Police testified yesterday that Susan Finkelstein, who allegedly offered sex for World Series tickets, spread her legs to reveal she wasn’t wearing underwear during a sting set up by Bensalem cops at a Neshaminy Mall bar.

Sgt. Robert Bugsch testified that he observed the attempted seduction by Finkelstein when she met undercover officer Michael Brady at Manny Brown’s restaurant, where he was posing as “Bob,” the man who would give her tickets (“his and his brother’s”), as arranged by Finkelstein in an online chat.

Finkelstein is a married 44-year-old and Penn grad student on trial before Bucks County Judge Albert Cepparulo on prostitution and attempted prostitution charges — for allegedly using an Internet site last October to appeal for tickets to the World Series in exchange for sex.

Finkelstein has described herself as a die-hard Phillies fan and maintains she was merely being creative in her attempt to take her husband — who is 15 years older — to a World Series game.

In her message, she described herself as a “gorgeous tall buxom blonde” and said she was desperate for tickets, adding, “Price negotiable — I’m the creative type! Maybe we can help each other! My currency is unconventional.”

“She described what kind of sex we could have and that she would have sex with my brother for both tickets. She told me that she could be my cougar and I could be her cub. She said she was married to a much older man,” Brady testified.

“She then exposed herself to show that she wasn’t wearing any underwear. She told me, ‘I’m a whore, and I love to have sex.’ It was then I said I had to call my brother and left. I called my sergeant and told him to make the arrest. That was the end of the involvement for me.”

Bugsch, who with two other undercover cops witnessed the bar exchange from 10 feet away, testified that when she was outside the bar being arrested she told him, “I’m a pervert and I have an open marriage.”

On cross examination, defense attorney William Brennan asked Brady, “Does she do business as a prostitute in 2009 and then again as a business in 2031, like Haley’s Comet?”

“I can’t speak to her business practices,” Brady said.

Her lawyer calls the incident a “he-said, she-said scenario,” and in court yesterday he questioned what Bensalem cops were doing going after a woman from Philadelphia.

Finkelstein has said she lost her job because of the press attention, but she did not take the stand yesterday. She showed up in court on the arm of her husband wearing a smile and a plain black pants suit.

Assistant District Attorney Steven Jones rested the state’s case against Finkelstein, and Brennan will put up his defense this morning.
