State Rep. Greg Smith of Heppner is currently drafting legislation for the ban.

Smith argues that prisoners should focus on their rehabilitation, instead of personal gratification.

According to published reports, the state already bans hard-core porn, but Smith’s proposed ban would also include milder materials, such as Playboy magazines.
