from www.louisvillemojo.com – The Kentucky Senate passed a bill Friday to put further restrictions on nude dancing.
The proposed new measure requires that all strippers perform on an elevated platform, and that they stay at least six feet away from patrons. This will effectively do away with the concept of the “lap dance”, and will render illegal the time-honored tradition of tipping the dancers by tucking a dollar bill into, well, wherever one can be tucked.
In typical underhanded lawmaker fashion, they sneaked this bit of legislature into something else unrelated: the provisions were attached by a Senate committee to a bill already passed by the House, dealing with theft by deception laws. Rather ironic, since sneaking this anti-lap-dance language into the bill is, in itself, deceptive.
