LaHair, 30, of Holyoke, has never met Elin Nordegren, the estranged wife of golfer Tiger Woods, but she says she can feel for what Nordegren is going through.

“I was married, and I, too, had a woman destroy my marriage,” she said.

With her hands wrapped in pink athletic tape, LaHair slipped on a pair of boxing gloves and said, “I’m doing this for Tiger’s wife. She deserves a little bit of payback, and she’s going to get it.”

What she is doing for Nordegren is to get into the boxing ring and duke it out with one of the women identified as being among Tiger Woods’ mistresses.

On Aug. 6, LaHair will square off against Devon James in a “celebrity boxing” match at the Holiday Inn off Interstate 91 here. The exhibition is sponsored by Big Bang Pro Wrestling.

James, a porn actress, has been mentioned in a long line of women linked to Woods over the past year as the world’s most famous golfer became daily tabloid fodder. She also claimed Woods fathered her child, although a recent DNA test determined someone else was the father.

More recently, James announced she was hopping on the celebrity fight-club bandwagon. She joins the likes of such used-to-be’s and could-have-beens as Major League Baseball player-turned steroid poster child Jose Canseco; Rodney King, the man whose 1991 videotaped battering by Los Angeles police prompted riots; and Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael, in recurring exhibitions around the country.

This will be James’ second bout, and LaHair will be her opponent. James’ first match was scheduled for Thursday in Bellmawr, N.J., [July 29] against Susan Finkelstein.

Finkelstein is the Philadelphia Phillies fan who made headlines when she was arrested for offering to provide sex in exchange for tickets to the 2009 World Series.
