Ron Jeremy Debates Susan Cole, Wednesday at Sonoma State University

California – Try to invite someone to a debate, and you’ll probably get a bored stare. Sounds too serious and dull.

But, of course, sex does sell.

“The Great Porn Debate” pits porn industry star Ron Jeremy against Susan Cole, feminist author and senior entertainment and books editor of NOW (National Organization of Women) magazine.

Jeremy has starred in more than 1,800 adult films and directed over a hundred of them. He’s also known for his appearances on VH1’s, “The Surreal Life.”

Cole has been an activist in the anti-porn movement since the ’70s. She has written on the issue in her books, “Power Surge: Sex, Violence and Pornography” and “Pornography and the Sex Crisis.”

The showdown starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Sonoma State University Cooperage.

Admission costs $15; $5 for Sonoma State University students.

This event is sponsored by Sonoma State University Associated Students Productions (ASP). For more information: (707) 664-2382, www.sonoma.edu/as/asp
