Will the sudden emergence of a blonde bombshell derail Rep. Jackson’s political future with black women? My fellow column-writing Tribune buddy John Kass eloquently raised that possibility here. I caution in my column to remember the O. J. Simpson prosecutors who assumed black female jurors might want to throw the book at the Juice out of resentment over his white blonde wife. Things didn’t work out that way at all.

Even so, take it from me: There’s a lot of chatter in black barber shops about JJJ’s bombshell as “black man’s kryptonite,” an old politically incorrect black community joke dramatized by Denise Richards as “White She-Devil” in this scene from Eddie Griffin’s hilarious and now remarkably prophetic black take on Austin Powers in 2002 Undercover Brother.
