from www.lvbusinesspress.com – The pending settlement of a Michigan class action lawsuit over pay to adult entertainers could affect Deja Vu Showgirls of Las Vegas.
Deja Vu is being sued and accused of not paying its dancers in accordance with wage and hour laws.
A $11.3 million settlement has been reached in the Michigan case, which involves adult entertainers nationwide who claimed their tips were pooled illegally. The entertainers also claim they weren’t paid minimum wage.
The pending Michigan settlement seeks to close a number of similar lawsuits in state courts and cases under review by California’s labor board.
The Michigan case involves four clubs in Las Vegas: Deja Vu Showgirls, Deja Vu Ultra Lounge, Little Darlings and Larry Flynt’s Hustler.
