However, it is not known whether effects (impotence in men and urinary incontinence) are permanent or temporary. Experts clarifies that patients were examined immediately after surgery. Some experts blame psychological or hormonal changes to be responsible for impotence effect.

Many studies have held obesity responsible for triggering many serious health conditions such as heart failure, stroke and now impotence. Although impotence is not life threatening, it greatly impacts one’s life.

Physicians recommend strict diet and exercises as there is no proven surgical method to reduce weight without any side effects.
