from www.abajournal.com – A now-disbarred Louisiana lawyer earned case-of-the-week mention from the Legal Profession Blog for producing a jailhouse sex video with the help of a 16-year-old female assistant.

A hearing committee found credible an ex-client’s testimony that attorney Noland James Hammond had the teen perform jailhouse oral sex on two inmate clients, purportedly in order to obtain semen samples that could be used to reverse their convictions, says the Louisiana Supreme Court in its opinion.

It found no mitigating circumstances concerning the multiple allegations that Hammond repeatedly hit on clients for sex, talked with them about sex and refused to continue working on matters—and did not refund retainers—in a number of cases in which clients refused his pressure for sex.

“In a few instances,” the supreme court writes, “respondent actually engaged in unsolicited or coerced sexual contact with vulnerable clients.”
