The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is said to have been offered the title role in a film adaptation of Eric Danville’s book The Complete Linda Lovelace.

James Franco is in negotiations to play pornographer Chuck Traynor opposite Hudson, according to Deadline.com.

The movie will go up against a rival Lovelace project called Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, which initially saw Lindsay Lohan cast in the title role before she was replaced by Malin Akerman due to Lohan’s ongoing personal problems.

AdultFYI comments: Hudson earned her skank points by playing a white trash broad in the Casey Affleck movie The Killer Inside Me so it’s reasonable to assume this announcement’s pretty legit.

Now that we’ve got two Lovelace biopics to confound the issue, for the record, here’s the boxscore: No less than Lindsay Lohan, Anna Faris, Sarah Scott, and Rose McGowan have all been announced at one time or another to play Lovelace.

Besides, Franco, we’ve also had Sam Rockwell supposedly playing Chuck Traynor; but that was when Anna Faris’ name was being tossed in the hat.

Then we’ve had Bill Pullman announced to play Hugh Hefner in the version that’s now supposed to star Akerman, but Pullman’s people said that was all BS. And what makes this Chinese fire drill all the more amusing is the fact that director Ron Howard was originally set to bring a Lovelace project to the big screen back in the early Nineties.
