from www.scpr.org – Health activists gathered in front of the Hustler Hollywood Store today to praise state officials’ efforts to issue multiple safety citations against adult entertainment mogul Larry Flynt.

Attorney Brian Chase with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Los Angeles says the citations happened after his group filed numerous safety complaints against adult film production companies – including Flynt’s.

“If you’re in a hospital the plan might say you’re supposed to wear rubber gloves, you’re suppose to wear a mask,” said Chase. “If you’re on a porn set the plan should say you have to wear condoms because that’s the best way to protect people in this industry from the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Larry Flynt Productions’ plan – they have one, but it doesn’t say the workers have to use condoms and they got cited for that.”

Flynt’s Hustler Video reportedly faces more than $14,000 in fines. Health care officials say that in recent years, people have reported as many as 25 industry-related cases of HIV.
