from www.popeater.com – It isn’t a great leap to make the correlation between competition on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ heating up and rumors about a lesbian sex tape that have put contestant Kendra Wilkinson into the spotlight this week, right before Monday’s big episode.

RadarOnline.com reports that the video shows Wilkinson and her friend, Taryn Ryan, getting busy for about an hour.

“Kendra and Taryn started fooling around and then Kendra wanted the light turned off,” a source told Radar. “But the camera that was recording them had night vision, so it looks like the Paris Hilton porn tape. Everything is completely clear.”

Sigh. But is anyone surprised?

It is the audience who votes for DWTS after all and some of Kendra’s fellow cast members have been speculating that the reality television star (who is no stranger to self-promotion) is looking to use the tape to rally male voters, while simultaneously playing the victim to get women voters on her side.

“It’s a big coincidence,” one contestant said to PopEater. “That’s all I am going to say about that.”

It wouldn’t be beneath the former Playboy Playmate. Kendra made a big show of trying to block the release of another sex tape last year, but it was revealed by Radar that she set up a company in 2008 to sell multiple sex tapes to the highest bidder. She reportedly made $680,000 for the video.

She also milked the last sex tape for all the sympathy she could, even trying to frame it as a way to be a better mother.

“Now that this happened, it hurts, but I know it’s going to make me and Hank better parents. It’s really going to make us teach our child what’s right and wrong in this world. We’re going to make sure our son is raised with a good head on his shoulders, a person that has morals, that treats women with respect,” Kendra said last year.

That one felt like a stretch. But no press is bad press for the DWTS contestants, so even if this latest scandal just boosts Kendra’s name recognition it could help her in the voting. Let’s just hope her fellow contestants don’t try to trip her up with another smoke machine.
