Christina McCann is the fourth teacher from the Lone Star state to be locked up in recent weeks for illegal sexual activity with a student.

The 39-year-old is alleged to have had sex with an 18-year-old student she was chaperoning during a conference for future business leaders.

Investigators in Austin,Texas claim McCann had been drinking with some of the six students she was in charge of during a competition organised by the
Distributive Education Clubs of America.

Detectives believe McCann was drinking alcohol with the students when one of them returned to her hotel room and a sexual encounter took place.

The incident took place in February while McCann and her students were staying at a hotel in Fort Worth.
