from www.gossip.com – “George Clooney ditched his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis after a sordid XXX-rated sex scandal rocked their two-year romance,” alleges the National Enquirer.
Wait… what?
According to the mag’s so-called “insiders,” an unnamed former amateur porn actor claims to be trying to sell graphic images purportedly taken from video of a March 1999 “sex orgy” involving a “brunette beauty bearing an uncanny resemblance to Elisabetta.”
“The word is that Elisabetta was aware these photos were being shopped around,” claims an Enquirer “source.”
“While she emphatically denied it was her in the images, George can’t have been happy about it, and I’m sure it was deeply embarrassing for both of them,” continues the source.
Um, we’re just deeply embarrassed for the Enquirer.
Because this is about as desperate as a tabloid can get.
Let’s break this down.
A man who refuses to be identified claims to have shots from a 12-year-old sex tape featuring a woman whom he doesn’t even say is Canalis, and that’s what led to the split?
Oh, the Enquirer says it doesn’t even matter if it’s Canalis on tape.
“Even if it wasn’t Elisabetta in the footage, it must have been incredibly upsetting for her and for George that she was dragged into this,” explains the magazine’s source.
So now Clooney and Canalis supposedly ended a longterm relationship because some random porn performer “dragged” them into a controversy that no one ever discussed?
It’s complete garbage.
As a rep for Clooney tells Gossip Cop, “The premise of the story is as phony as phony can be,” adding, “It is not true.”
