I am not aware of any such request so if I did make a faux pas, it was without my knowledge or consent. LOL. As Digital Playground’s publicist, I serve as the liaison between press junkets and Digital Playground’s personalities. As such, media opportunities are typically booked through me. Even broadcast producers and journalists who do not know me by name request the public or media relations’ department when they call. I have not been contacted by Wankus in regards to Jesse Jane at any time.

Aside from her sarcasm, the scenario is all wrong. It was an off the cuff, hand the phone around thing. We were told on-air that Jane wanted to say hello to us but that someone from DP told her on the scene that she couldn’t. This was all happening live on the air, we could not get all the facts at the time.

Someone also mentioned Nic Andrews as someone saying she couldn’t do it but I found out later that he wasn’t there. Devon, Jesse Jane and owner Ali were the DP reps in attendance. It would certainly make sense that either Devon or Ali would tell her not to take the call, there’s no secret that we’re not big fans of each other.

To clarify, I wrote Adella this e-mail:

Luke quotes me as saying, “DP squelched an interview between Wankus and Jesse Jane.”

That’s not what happened.

I was on the phone, live on the air, with a bunch of people at the awards show in Tampa. Someone I was speaking with at the time said, “Jesse Jane wants to speak with you.” They put us on hold for a second and came back and said, “DP people won’t let her go on the phone with you.” They also mentioned Nic Andrews said she couldn’t. I was there all weekend and didn’t even know he was there, but that’s what they said.

We had a great time with Jesse over the weekend. She’s a sweetheart and we’d welcome her on for positive promo anytime. If you’re interested, let me know.

Speaking of Devon, Tim Case reports:

The awards show is over, and we’re all heading out to the limos. Devon is standing on the sidewalk with Jesse Jane and Ali waiting. The first limo pulls away, and the rear door opens up, Jezebel Bond leans out and screams right at her “FUCK YOU DEVON, YOU FUCKING CUNT!!!”
